Mini Apple Cider Donuts
Posted · by The Hangry Wife
Warning: these mini apple cider donuts are dangerously cute, wildly snackable, and one cinnamon sugar toss away from becoming your entire fall personality. 🍎🍩
The best part? Only 6…SIX ingredients.
Crispy little edges, a cinnamon sugar coating, and that nostalgic apple cider flavor. Put Hocus Pocus on in the background and suddenly I have absolutely no plans to leave the house.
Be honest: how many of these are you eating before anyone else gets one?

- About 24 mini donuts
- Oven
- 350°F
Ingredients
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar, for the cinnamon sugar coating
- Cinnamon, to taste, for the coating
- Melted butter, for dipping
- Olive oil, for greasing the pan
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan with olive oil.
Pour apple cider into a small skillet and simmer until reduced by half.
In a bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, butter, applesauce, vanilla and cider.
Fill the donut tray about 1/4 full. Do not put too much batter in the donut cavities!
Bake for about 12–15 minutes, or until donuts are slightly golden.
Cool for about 5–10 minutes and remove from pan.
Dip and coat the donuts into melted butter, then into the cinnamon sugar mix.
Time to devour 🍩
