5-Layer Spider Taco Dip
Posted · by The Hangry Wife
🕷️ The Halloween party dip everyone will be fighting over before the first trick-or-treater even arrives 🌮
Forget the candy bowl, this is the real Halloween treat. It’s creamy, beefy, beany, cheesy, loaded with taco flavor and topped with a sour cream web and olive spiders that make it party ready without requiring actual cooking skills. Put it out with chips and prepare to guard the dish.
Now I need to know… Are you grabbing a chip and going straight for the spiderweb, or are you scooping up half the dish like nobody’s watching? 👀

Ingredients
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 packets taco seasoning (1 for the beef, 1 for the sour cream mixture)
- 2 cups sour cream, plus extra for the spiderweb
- 3–4 avocados, mashed, or guacamole
- 2 cups shredded Mexican-blend cheese
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Black olives, for the spiders
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
Heat the refried beans in a pot and spread into the bottom of a serving dish.
Add a layer of guacamole.
Cook the ground beef and add taco seasoning as stated on the seasoning package. Spread the beef layer on top of the guacamole.
Mix the sour cream and taco seasoning until smooth. Spread evenly on top of the beef. Top with cheese.
Top the edges of the dish with diced tomatoes and green onions.
Pipe sour cream into a spiderweb pattern.
Slice black olives in half to make little spider bodies and arrange them on top.
Slice more olives into halves repeatedly until they form long olive spider legs.
Serve with tortilla chips and watch it disappear!
